How to run Confluence software installer without prompts

Deleted user November 20, 2018

I would like to run the Confluence installer without the prompts.  Is there an option to do that?

Hi @[deleted],

You can see the available options by running

./atlassian-confluence-6.12.2-x64.bin -h
The following command line options are available:

-varfile [file]  Use a response file

-c               Run in console mode

-q               Run in unattended mode

-dir [directory] In unattended mode, set the installation directory

-overwrite       In unattended mode, overwrite all files

-splash [title]  In unattended mode, show a progress window

-Dname=value     Set system properties

-h               Show this help

Hi @[deleted]!

To elaborate on @Edwin Kyalangalilwa's response - yes, it is possible by using a "response file".  As shone in Edwin's output, the "-varfile" switch is how you tell the installer where to find the answers to the install questions.

Here'a a link to documentation that should get you started:  https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/unattended-installation-838416261.html
