Hello,
I'm looking for an option to export a page tree while it is in the comparison mode between two versions (page history).
My goal is to create an (word) export which is able to show changes between two versions. (e.g. a document with more than 100 pages have to be reviewed by the customer regarding it's changes to a defined, previous version. - and all subpages are in different versions after last export of the titel page. - PDF print from browser ins't a solution)
Best regards, Rico
Hi Rico,
With Scroll Versions you can create versions on a space-level, make changes accordingly, and later compare those versions to see what has been changed from e.g. version 1 to version 2.
Currently, however, this view is not exportable. As a workaround you could also export version 1 and version 2 using Scroll Office (which is compatible with Scroll Versions), and then compare those two documents with the built-in compare functionality in MS Word.
Is creating a file with the differences a must-have requirement? Would you need to have a MS Word file, or would PDF also work?
If showing the comparison online without exporting it would also help, please feel free to have a look at the following page to learn more about how to compare two versions: Compare versioned content - Scroll Versions can be tried out in the Atlassian Marketplace using a free 30day trial license.
Best,
Nils
Unfortunately this is a known limitation with Confluence right now and there's an open suggestion for it here on both cloud and server:

The scroll plugins might offer this functionality have a look at some of these:
