We would like to use a JIRA board to host a questionnaire that would be used to build tickets that will define testing project goals and measures. We would like the responses to the questions to automatically assign these tickets to the appropriate product team. Does JIRA have the ability to assign tickets to specific groups based on answers to standardized questions?
You may be able to do this by using Scriptrunner-for-jira
Natively, the only option is "automatic assignee based on the first component selected", but there are plenty of Apps that would allow you to set up more complex rules that automate assignee.
Of course, it won't assign to groups, as that never works in real life and is hence not implemented, but you could consider setting a group picker or custom field as an owning group as well as choosing the person responsible for the issue as the assignee.
