Seema Abrol November 5, 2018

Our client wants us to host and administer their company's instance on our JIRA SERVER

Is it advisable?

I believe their costs will be separate but will there be any conflicts?

Hi @Seema Abrol,

you can host two (or more) Jira instances on one server.

That is no problem, if the server is powerful enough. You just have to take care, that you do not get conflicts with the ports the Jira instances are listening on.

But you should have the following points in mind:

* If there is a problem with the server, both instances are not available?

* Do you want to be responsible for your customers Jira instance?

* Do you want to host your customers data on the same server as your data. Are there maybe any concerns regarding data privacy or data security?

Hello,

You can run two Jira instances on the same server. Just change the port parameter in the server.xml file.

You can find more info here:
