Hello all,
I am trying to build a Dashboard with a custom chart Gadget with a JQL.
JQL is project="XX" AND issuetype = "XX" AND status in ("In Progress", "To Do", Done, UAT, "On hold", QA) AND "Epic Link" in (XX, XX) which is populating the issues linked to the epics.
When I use the JQL in the custom chart and selecting the chart by epic link, the chart is not populating the epic links and all the issues are showing only in the None section with no epic names.
Is this an issue with the custom charts or am I missing something. Any info on this is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hello, I just wanted to let you know that the bug with the Epic Link field was fixed in the latest Custom Charts version 6.0.31. Please feel free to upgrade and try it.

I am also getting the exact same issue within my organisations Jira. Is there any way to resolve this without reverting back?

When I got the issue, I tried using different scenarios and tried building the gadget using individual JQL's rather than grouping the chart by epic link.
In this scenario, I could see the epic link names populating fine but, the overall count is off.
You can also use a different gadget but, I believe it would not give you the detailed view of the number of issues in each epic like in custom charts.
I would suggest to downgrade the plugin to the previous version until a bugfix is released.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Venkat. I will see if I can build it by individual JQL (I didn't think of this!). We rely on this for MU & Reporting. My Org didn't have any of this until I implemented them in July, through research. I'm the "expert" who's not so much of an expert :D
Appreciate your response and if custom doesn't work, I will try and see if our Jira team can downgrade the Custom chart.

Can you confirm that, when you select "Chart By Epic Link", are you specifically choosing that option in the Custom Chart Gadget configuration?

Thank you for the response, Yes, I am using the Chart by type as "Epic link". Tested out a couple of scenarios to see if there is any issue with the way the tickets are linked to the epic and that looks good as well.
Now, raised a support ticket and got a confirmation that there is an existing bug with populating epic links for custom charts version 6.0.29 and was suggested to downgrade to the previous version which worked fine.
Hope this helps for anyone facing the same issue
Thanks
