How we can restrict new component added on create screen of any issue in a project?

I have created two components(system field) in a project. Now when I am trying to create an issue than on screen components option is showing with dropdown option of those two component, but when I am trying to enter name other than those two component than also it is saving that new component, so I want to restrict that it should not take that new component.

Hi @Aanand Lacheta ,

This feature in the components field is actually saving a lot of time. You cannot configure/alter the behaviour of the components field.

You need to be project admin in order to create components so what you can restrict is who is allowed to create new components. 

If all you need is to have one field that is restricted to two values only you need to create custom field of single select type and use that instead of the components field.
