In the new Jira issue view is it possible to configure the left issue view, meaning the side where comments, attachments, and description resides. Is it possible to add an additional field? We have a custom text field that looks horrible due to the amount of text and how small the right pane is. If we could move it over to the larger left side it would make this new view a little more bearable.
Yes, we could move back to the old view, but some like this view and would like to continue using it.
Thanks!
Hi Ben,
Take a look at this link - I think it will answer this for you.
I did look at that, besides it being mostly people complaining there really wasn't much information and some of the features were implemented. Thanks though.

There's an open issue that Atlassian is working to allow fields to be added to the left side. Last status I saw was that it was coming soon.

Thanks for that info! found the ticket https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-70555 and subtask: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-69574 would fix our issue.

I believe tabs are supposed to be close to coming back in the new view so that may well help.

What used to be tabs in the old view have now reappeared in the new view in the right column as "Glances". You can move them up and down in the view, and if you click on them you are taken to the fields they contain. The order seems to stay true to your custom screen layout.
So does that mean that we will have to continue to maintain both the custom screen and the new issue layouts going forward? Who thought this would be a good idea?
