A jira software project has 2 different boards - Scrum & Kanban but want different backlog.

Deepika singh August 27, 2021

I have created a jira software project that has 2 different boards - Scrum & Kanban with 1 backlog.  In the project name "A" (having team members from multiple projects, so are the tickets, hence created 2 boards scrum & kanban as per project's need) But i want different backlog for both the 2 boards. if i migrate different project's tickets to scrum board of "A" project then those tickets shouldn't be shown in the kanban board of "A"'s project.

is it possible if tickets that are in scrum board of A project doesn't reflect in kanban board of A's project??

Hello @Deepika singh

The issues that will appear in the boards is based on the filter the boards used. The filter is shown in the Board Settings > General tab.

The issues themselves do not track in which board they are being displayed.

If you want the issues to display in only one board or the other, you have to modify the filters used in the boards and find a criteria in the issues that you can use to indicate the board in which you want it displayed. You could add a value in the Components or Labels field, or you could create a custom field where you select "Scrum" or "Kanban", or if the boards are for separate Teams you could use a Team field.

@Trudy Claspill I truly appreciate it. It actually solved my problem. Thanks a ton.
