Hi @Maria Dobreva ,

As mentioned in the Advanced workflow configuration documentation page, the way to clone an issue on transition would be to add a workflow post-function that takes care of this.

However, as you can see  on the same documentation page, the 'clone' issue post-function is not available out of the box for Jira (Cloud and/or Server):

Additional post functions may be available from installed plugins. or you can create your own post functions using the plugin system – see the Workflow Plugin Modules for details.

Some add-ons that are already offering the possibility to achieve this are (please search the marketplace for more):

I hope this helps.

Hi Dario, hi Maria,

Great summary to solve that issue!

I would like to add also our app Deep Clone for Jira (Cloud) to the list of add-ons that are able to clone on transition.

Best,

Marlene

We use Jira Cloud.

I tried to use Jira Misc Workflow Extension Create Issue Post function.

The problem with this is after execution the issue is not updated automatically. User should update the page manually to see the newly create linked ticket.

Also this function offer navigation to the new issue after execution but this don`t work,

The same is with DeepClone post function.

Best,

Maria

Hi Maria,

I'm not sure if I understood your issue correctly. Can you give me an example or specific use case?

We are always open to optimize our apps.

Thanks,

Marlene
