How to create custom reports

David Albert August 23, 2021

Based on this document
https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/create-a-new-custom-report/

A 'New report' button should appear inside the 'Reports' section. But I don't see it.
I have Administrator permission, and checked different projects, but I can't find a way to create new reports.

Hi @David Albert

You are referring to JSM documentation but your screenshot is from Jira Software. What kind of reports you want to create? You can also go to your dashboard and use various gadgets to create your own reports.

Hi @Ravi Sagar _Sparxsys_  ,

Thanks for your reply.

I didn't notice about this on de documentation. Just googled and that 'jira reports' appeared. Also the description in that document seems similar to what is present in jira.

What I want is to get a sprint report which includes a Time log report for each team member. So, to see the time logged by each team member during that sprint, and the distribution of this time on the different issues.

I guess this is not possible by a report. I also checked the dashboard tools, and didn't find how to do it.

But I found an external tool, Jira Assistant, which does this kind of time tracking reports, and quite well.
