How to create user group

I tried to follow the guideline below to create new group for the confluence.

but can not see below information, would you please advise?

1. Go to  > General Configuration > Groups.

Hi @James Chen ,

To manage groups you need to be Confluence Administrator.

For Data Center:

If you are Confluence Administrator, you can click the cog-wheel icon (confluence administration) and click on General Configuration. That will bring you to the Confluence administration screen.

The Confluence administration screen has a left-hand menu with a long list of options. Somewhere down that menu, you will find Groups (in the section USERS & SECURITY).

Now you arrived in the Groups screen where you can manage and create groups.

For Cloud:

Almost the same process. But you simply click on the cog-wheel (Settings). That brings you to the General configuration screen.

Then you click User management. That will bring you to Atlassian Administration. And there you can click on Groups in the left-hand menu.

Just a JIRA Admin can create groups.

I am not Confluence Administrator, can i apply such access?

You'll have to contact the administrator(s).
In data center, the login screen contains a 'contact administrators' link. And in cloud, if you click the Settings menu icon, the menu will contain a 'contact your jira admin' option.
