Resolution Time report but only from started to closed, not created to closed.

One of our teams is looking for a report like the Resolution Time report but only from started to closed, not created to closed.

Do you know if this is possible out-of-the-box in JIRA? I can't seem to find a report or dashboard widget that does it. If not, any ideas on how we could get this?

Thank you,
Scott

Hi Scott,

There is not an out of the box option built into Jira natively that'll give you time tracking between two defined statuses so you would need to look into add-ons for a solution.

Check out This KB article mentioning one possibility: "Tracking the Time Taken for Each Workflow Transition"  noting to use the the Time in Status app

There are also add-ons like Arsenale Dataplane - Jira Reports that has a  Time from Status to Status report. Or The Issue History Collector add-od that has expanded time tracking reporting, and the  JIRA Suite Utilities add-on could be used to at least track the time an issue is in a specific status.

But also check out the marketplace for additional time-tracking add-ons that might also accomplish this for you.

Regards,
Earl
