Hi all,
I've hit a strange issue, I wrote a rule a while back that detects status transition changes and does some stuff, but now the rule has stopped working... There is nothing in the audit log that shows any problems...
Here is the head of the rule:
Pretty simple, and I'm sure it was working...
Here is an example audit log:
So the three 'No Actions Performed' are for a test JIRA issue in the DEV project going from:
Open -> In Development -> Dev Complete -> Change Raised as per history:
The status is definitely 'Change Raised', and the JQL works if I do an issue search...but the rule just tells me 'The following issues did not match the condition...'
The rule is set to 'GLOBAL', it is enabled...all other rules seem to work...
Any thoughts?
STOP PRESS:
Ok, follow up, if I add a log action and dump the status id and name the status on the rule firing is always one step behind, e.g. it gives me the status the issue has moved FROM... If I check in the REST API then it shows me the current status...
It's almost like this is out of sync in some way, the rule fires before the status is 'applied'...
STOP PRESS 2:
Tried setting 'Execute this rule immediately but didn't seem to have any effect, and seems to indicate this wouldn't affect state transition rules anyway...
STOP PRESS 3:
OK, just updated to 3.11.0 of automation plugin, the good news is that this problem seems to have gone away... the bad news is that I no longer have the power to delete some of my rules!!! what gives? I'm the Administrator!!!
Cheers,
Simon
Hey there Simon,
A bit going on there! We had an issue over the weekend that meant that deleting rules wasn't working. This should be fixed as part of https://codebarrel.atlassian.net/browse/AUT-872 and we should have the fix out today.
Cheers,
Mark C
