I am a new user to Trello and have begun setting up boards and testing the product. I created cards, set due dates/time to test the email notifications. Date and time passed with no notification.
Also, when going to settings, I do not have the option of desktop notifications. I have allowed notifications with my browser (Chrome).
Any ideas? This feature is critical as to whether I choose to use this product for our workflow or not. I need to have my team members notified immediately once cards move through the workflow, comments are made, deadlines are approaching/missed, etc.
Thank you,
Troy
Hey Troy
First, welcome to Trello! I've been a Trello user for about a year and find it very functional and helps keep me and my work organized.
You mention that you created cards, set due date/times to test the notifications. You must know that due date notifications are only triggered 24 hours before the event due time. At the same time, you must also be subscribed to the board, list, or card to get the due date notifications/email.
For desktop notifications, please see the "No option to enable... " in this article
When you're subscribed to boards, lists, or cards, notifications will only be triggered when an action is taken by someone else. So if you're subscribed to a board, and you move a card, you won't get a notification. However, if you're subscribed to a board and someone else moves a card, you will receive the notification. That;s outlined in this article.
I hope this helps, but I will be happy to help further if you're having issues or need more clarification.
