Hey all! I got back from an energizing Atlassian Team 25! Beyond the swag (lots of socks this year...) and impressive keynotes, the real highlight was the incredible Atlassian community. Meeting so many people I've only known online or who've engaged with my content was a powerful reminder of the connections we build, even through screens.
There were some significant product announcements too! Adding Rovo to premium and enterprise plans for Jira and Confluence is a great development, and is something I'm looking forward to experiencing. Plus, the introduction of Government and Isolated Cloud options addresses crucial security and compliance needs for many organizations that otherwise wouldn't use Cloud.
Strategically, Atlassian is making moves to bridge the gap between daily tasks and long-term vision with their new "Strategy" collection, featuring Align for cross-team planning, Focus for goal alignment (like OKRs), and Talent (a new product) for skills gap analysis. This feels like a significant step towards a more holistic approach.
The Atlassian Community also got some love, with "Community Leaders" evolving into "Champions" to be more inclusive (there's even a new track called Success Champions who want to be involved but don't want to be running events). And the shift from "Atlassian University" to the more approachable "Atlassian Learning," complete with a custom-built LMS, signals a massive investment in user education.
It was a short, but very exhausting week, but I'm looking forward to Team25 Europe in October! (7th-9th)
