Hello Team,
I am encountering an issue with generating the dependency report in Jira.
I have tasks that are attached to an epic using the native link type "issue in epic." These tasks are correctly displayed on my roadmap, but they do not appear in the dependency report.
As you can see, the dependency report is empty and does not account for the "issue in epic" link. I have tried to add this link type from the dependency settings, but I cannot find it.
Could you please assist me in resolving this issue ?
Thank you for your help.
Hi @Mehdi
Welcome to the community.
Issues in Epic is not an issue link and not related to dependencies.
Only issue link type can be used on the dependency report, by default blocked is the only issue link type.
But other issue link types from the system can be added via the plan settings.
It seems to only use the EPIC Link to determine which tickets to display. However, the tickets I want to show are connected using the "Include" link type. As a result, no hierarchy is shown in my roadmap.
Is there a way to make the roadmap recognize and display hierarchies based on other link types, like "Include"? ( In the roadmap view not in the dependacy)
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi @Mehdi Mrad
No hierarchy is based on the Epic Link field or Parent field if you have an issue type above Epic in the hierarchy.
Issue Links are only for dependencies, not available for hierarchy purpose.
