As you jump among plans and views... how regularly does your brain short-circuit a bit switching across Views?
Is this slight-but-pervasive UX annoyance common for others? It's kinda funny how frequently something so idiosyncratic feels like a pebble in a shoe or walking through a spider web :-)
It seems the ability to alpha or manually sort views would be baseline functionality for list-based structures like Saved Views.
For me... the primary problems / desired outcomes are:
Being able to quicky find and switch among the right views for the right context... which occurs in nearly every Jira Plan-based meeting. We use Saved View prefixes to try and help with it... e.g. <Product Group>, <Engineering Team Name>, etc... across only a dozen or more ... without alpha sort, I find myself (and watch other)
Prioritizing the most regularly used views at the top of the plan... There are several anchor Views that are most regularly needed / used... I simply want to be able to add those plans to the top, and perhaps include a prefix ⭐ or 📌.
... I prefer / don't mind manual sorting to accomplish both of the above.
HI @J P
This seems like a valid proposition.
To have favorite views in a plan, be starring them like boards, filters, etc..
Currently there is no such an option and I did't spot anything in the Cloud Roadmap on this.
