Hello,

I'm using Jira Plans and I've a release with Release Date = After all issues are completed.

Then on the Jira Plan I assign items to the release, and a "Target end" to that release. I was expecting the release to infer that date and appear on the timeline.

Am I missing anything?

Hi @joao.aires and welcome to the Community!

I am afraid this is expected behaviour. From plans documentation on how you can add releases to your plan:

I understand what you were hoping for to see, but it is apparently not how it works in reality. Obviously, when a dynamic release doesn't have a date set, it can't be mapped to the (date-based) timeline.

Hope this helps!
