Hello,
How can we search for a specific ITEM and all its Child in JIRA Portfolio ?
For example :
Initiative 001
-> Epic 001 -> US 001
-> Epic 002 -> US 001
-> US 002
how do you find the Epic TDP-1 and its child ? imagine you have 300 in your backlog !!
You cannot do from Portfolio for what you were requesting. As i mentioned earlier, efficient way is to get using JQL. Using Portfolio you can only search using Key as shown below
searching Epic TDP-5
Searching from Initiative drop down for same TDP-5 Epic

My question is related to JIRA Portfolio...
Using JIRA Portfolio plugin how can I find an epic and its own child without using the JQL in JIRA.

Initiative to Epic and Epic to Story relationship can be seen under plans.
Note: You will have to switch from Initiative and Epic each time
