Active sprint date keeps changing back to an earlier date.

I have a sprint running in July. The active sprint date keeps going back to a date in March on some specific changes to sub tasks or stories. Any ideas ? I believe it is down to a story which was moved to this sprint and if we make any changes to that story, it affects the Sprint dates. Does that make sense ? Any ideas or clues will be appreciated.

We use JIRA 7.10 server version.

We have never experienced the active sprint dates being automatically changed by JIRA itself.

The start and end dates can only be done by a JIRA authorised user.
