Cannot start sprint - You do not have permission to edit issues in this project.

Hello all,

I am getting the aforementioned error message when trying to start a sprint in one of our projects. The user I'm trying to start the sprint with has permission in all "Issues" (ex: Create Issue, Edit Issue, etc) and also has permission under "Administer projects". Neither my username nor the person who is assigned "scrum master" and "project lead" can start sprints within this project. However, the same project owner can start sprints in other projects.

How can we go about debugging this?

We are using Jira v5.0.2 with greenhopper plugin.
