Hi @Madison Bates -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
What problem are you trying to solve by adding Due Date to tasks? Often the epic-level is where those dates are relevant as the tasks are smaller pieces.
If you find you still need this field, please talk to the site admin for your instance. They can make the field visible and available for tasks.
Best regards,
Bill
Hi @Madison Bates! You can add a “due date” field by configuring your issue types in project settings.
If you’re in a Team Managed project it’s as easy as going to project settings -> Issue types -> Select the type of issue, and drag the “due date” field into the issue type.
Here’s more info on this in the docs.

Olá @Madison Bates pelo meu conhecimento, os filhos dos épicos não possuem data de vencimento, por serem tarefas atreladas ao épico pai, que já tem um vencimento estipulado.
