Keep an eye out for the upcoming Rising Star Boot Camp! With weekly activities on a range of subjects, our boot camp will help you progress towards becoming a Community Champion.

Do you feel the warm fuzzies when your answer is accepted on the forum? We sure do, and it’s because we share a passion for helping people. As a Rising Star, your credibility on the forum has skyrocketed, and members are eager for your assistance!
Recommendation: Aim to answer ten questions over the next 3 months. Focus on building trust through your expertise and putting yourself in the other person’s shoes. Empathy can go a long way!

Do you enjoy sharing your ideas and expertise and want to keep refining your writing skills? Writing articles as a Rising Star allows you to express your thoughts to a like-minded audience, where together you can exchange ideas, gather feedback, and build a supportive community.
Recommendation: Strive to publish two articles over the next three months. Concentrate on your area of expertise as a means of sharing knowledge. Experiment with content layout, engaging introduction hooks, and visuals.

| ✨ Actionable step 4: Engage in community building by starting and facilitating discussions.
Are you often the last to leave a party because you’re engrossed in conversation? Do your meetings tend to run over because you want to keep the discussion alive? Guilty as charged!
For Rising Stars, facilitating discussions offers a platform to share your knowledge, ask questions, and gain new insights. This is also an excellent way to expand your network and cultivate new relationships in the forum.
Recommendation: Initiate and facilitate six discussions in one of our discussion groups over the next three months. Emphasise building recognition within the community forum and nurturing discussions that encourage member participation.

Path to Community Champion
Rising Stars play a significant role in the community forum, and we want to continue supporting your Atlassian Community journey.
As you increase your activity on the forum, it’s also a great time to prepare to apply to become a Community Champion.
Here’s what we suggest:
1. Participate in the Rising Star Boot Camp (starting 25 Jun 2025) 💫
This boot camp, exclusive to Rising Stars and Contributors, is designed to:
- help you strengthen your understanding of community engagement
- enhance your writing skills
- expand your technical knowledge
All while earning special badges and kudos!
You must be a member of the Contributors Group to participate.
2. Stay active ⚽️
When we review Community Champion applications, we evaluate them based on recent activity from the last three months, as this period provides a relevant snapshot of a member’s current engagement and contributions to the community. This enables us to identify applicants who are consistent and committed to the community, which are essential traits for a Community Champion.
3. Close the loop ➰
The Atlassian Community forum serves as a platform for connection and two-way communication. If someone has a follow-up question about your answer or wants to learn more about a specific topic you've mentioned in your article, it's important to close the loop and respond promptly. Community Champions are recognized as mentors within the community, and we expect them to engage actively.
