How to configure and bulk delete Jira issues

Are you testing your migration workflow by creating multiple issues and experimenting with workflows, fields, and other Jira features? When your testing is complete, do you want to delete the issues but find the bulk change process tedious and limited to only 1,000 items at a time?

Our solution, BulkOps Pro is for you! As an administrator, it allows you to bulk delete Jira issues effortlessly using a JQL query. Simply enter your desired JQL, confirm your actions, and you're done. All these are done in 4 easy steps as described below

Step 1

  • Navigate to the BulkOps Pro on your Jira instance and Click to Log in

Step 2

  • Navigate to the projects overhead menu and click on “delete issues”

Step 3

  • Type on the form a valid JQL or you can type issue keys separated by a comma. Both ways are possible

A valid JQL begins with the text “JQL:<jql statement> e.g. JQL:project in (AB, CD) order by created DESC

  • Before submitting the form, you can choose whether to delete any sub-task if associated with a parent issue.

Step 4

  • Choose “Yes” to confirm the deletion of the issue
