Introducing Panel Metrics in SnapMetrics – Real Time Analytics

We’re excited to announce a brand-new feature in SnapMetrics – Real Time Analytics: Panel Metrics. This update is designed to give Jira teams greater flexibility and control over the data they see — right where they work.

Why Panel Metrics?

In fast-paced workflows, you don’t always need all the data — you need the right data. Panel Metrics allows admins to decide exactly which metrics should appear in the panel, ensuring that users get context-specific insights when viewing Jira issues. This helps teams stay focused, make quicker decisions, and avoid information overload.

How It Works

1. Access the Panel Metrics Screen
   From SnapMetrics – Real Time Analytics, navigate to the Panel Metrics section in the app.
2. Create or Select a Metric
   Click Create Metric to define a new one, or select from existing metrics. Give it a clear name and choose the metric type that best fits your workflow.
3. Add Events (Optional)
   If needed, specify a Start Event and an End Event to track specific phases in your process.
4. Apply Filters
   On the side panel, you can add filters to refine your data — simply tick the boxes to apply the filters you need. You can also use the search function to quickly find specific filter options.
5. Save and Refine by Date & Time
   Once you click Save and your selected filters appear on screen, head to the Calendar section. Here, you can refine your results even further by choosing an exact date and time range.
