Meet Lovebyte.codes, German Partner bringing new Google integrations to the Marketplace

Hello Community members! I’m happy to publish the latest instalment of the App Central Partner feature with Andreas Thaller and Jana Winkelbauer, the CEO and CTO at lovebyte.codes. Lovebyte.codes has recently partnered with Seibert to release the app Jigo - Google Workspace for Jira

What is Lovebyte.codes and what are your roles?

Andreas: The company lovebyte.codes was founded in August 2024 through the sale of the IT part of HÄMOSAN Life Science Services GmbH, an Austrian family-owned business. With this background, lovebyte.codes was able to leverage extensive expertise in IT services, cloud technologies, and automation from the very beginning. This enabled the rapid launch of its first products on the Atlassian Marketplace.

The company was deliberately founded in Germany 🇩🇪, specifically in Schleswig-Holstein, as its largest strategic partner is based in Germany. Additionally, access to German universities and research institutions played a crucial role in driving long-term innovation and securing a technological edge.

As the CEO of lovebyte.codes, I drive the company's strategic direction, ensuring scalable growth while delivering cutting-edge solutions for Jira users. My role encompasses business development, forging key partnerships, and optimizing product-market fit to maximize our impact within the Atlassian ecosystem. Additionally, I oversee product strategy, market expansion, and operational efficiency, ensuring that our solutions not only meet the evolving needs of our customers but also position us as a leader in IT automation and integrations. Through close collaboration with our teams, I focus on innovation, long-term vision, and building a strong network within the industry to accelerate our global reach.

Jana: As the CTO, I lead the technical vision and development of our products. My main focus is on building scalable and high-performing integrations that enhance Jira’s capabilities. I also work closely with our engineering teams to drive innovation and ensure that our solutions meet the evolving needs of our customers.

How does your team come up with ideas for new apps?

Jana: We take a very hands-on approach to product development. Many of our ideas come from direct interactions with customers, understanding their pain points, and identifying gaps in the Jira ecosystem and other tools. We also keep a close eye on industry trends and leverage our technical expertise to create solutions that simplify workflows and improve efficiency.

What do you think has been the secret to your success so far?

Andreas: Our success is built on three key pillars: customer-centric innovation, a deep understanding of the Atlassian ecosystem, and strong execution. We don’t just build features—we solve real problems. By maintaining a close relationship with our customers and continuously iterating on our products, we ensure that our apps deliver real value.

In which of your apps do you see the most potential? What problem were you trying to solve for customers when you created it?

Andreas: Currently we’re focusing on Jigo – Google Workspace Integration for Jira in collaboration with Seibert. Many teams using both Google Workspace and Jira struggled with collaboration inefficiencies—switching between platforms, managing permissions, and keeping data in sync. JIGO bridges this gap by seamlessly integrating Google Calendar, Gmail and Google Chat directly into Jira, enabling teams to work more efficiently without leaving their workflow.

We were recently at the Google Gen AI @ Work Event organized by Seibert in their offices in Wiesbaden, Germany, and got a lot of insights how customers plan to use JIGO.

People were delighted about sharing communication and the JIGO Browser Extension, which has just been released.

What’s next for you?

Jana: We’re continuously evolving JIGO – Google Workspace Integration for Jira to offer even deeper integrations and automation. Our focus is on expanding the Google Drive integration, making document management even more seamless within Jira. Also we are currently enhancing the JIGO Workspace Add-On and publishing our JIGO Browser Extension to support even more intuitive workflows.

I would love to connect with Jira admins or consultants to learn what kind of features your colleagues or customers need.
