Hi community, we have some exciting news to share: From June 2025, Routemap for Confluence has a new name. Say hello to ConfluPlan.
ConfluPlan brings together ideas, people, and tools in one clear, collaborative space. With a cleaner interface and simplicity, it’s built to make project management feel like a natural part of your Confluence workflow.
Originally, Routemap for Confluence was built based on the Jira version, giving teams a great way to visualize projects with roadmap timelines, Kanbans, and Gantt charts on Confluence.
However, we realized that using a similar name has made our users confused about the relation between two apps. Routemap for Confluence, though shares some similarities with Routemap for Jira, works independently.
Therefore, to avoid any conflicts and misunderstanding with Routemap for Jira, we decided to change the app’s name to ConfluPlan.
With the new name, we continue to enhance project planning for every team, from HR to Marketing directly on Confluence.
Although ConfluPlan builds on everything users loved about Routemap for Confluence, there are some changes to the app that you should keep in mind.
ConfluPlan (formerly Routemap for Confluence) has become a Forge app. Now, the app is even more secure and scalable for all users. Additionally, it extends the functionality of Atlassian products.
By building on Forge, Atlassian takes care of the infrastructure through its serverless platform. This enables us at DevSamurai to respond quickly to ConfluPlan's risks while ensuring compliance with their security, privacy, and transparency requirements.
For more information, please visit the Atlassian Developer’s note on The Forge platform.
After rebranding, you will no longer find the name of Routemap for Confluence on Atlassian Marketplace. Instead, you will find ConfluPlan with a new logo.
For users who have already installed the app, you will see the new name ConfluPlan replacing the old Routemap name from your app tab (on the left side panel with Atlassian’s new UI).
And of course, rebranding the app means that you will have to use the new macro for inserting ConfluPlan interactive boards into your Confluence pages. Now, instead of typing /Routemap, you should type /ConfluPlan to insert Kanban, Timeline, or Gantt.
ConfluPlan turns your Confluence pages into living, breathing project hubs. You can simplify project planning, manage dependencies visually, and monitor progress with Kanban boards—all without leaving Confluence. And because it’s tightly integrated with Jira, your data stays consistent across platforms.
Plus, it’s hosted on secure, SOC 2 Type II-compliant infrastructure, so your team’s data stays safe.
We are migrating ConfluPlan to Forge to leverage the data security & privacy provided by Atlassian.
