Bug Watcher is not working.

I have installed the bug watcher add on and I have yet to receive notifications.  I am watching all of my issues and have tested the following activities: have a user comment on my issue, have a user assign me an issue, and having a user change the status of my issue.  I have disabled the built in email notifications in JIRA and would like to be notified In app for all notifications.  I also have an email digest add on installed to give me a disgest of all pertinent notifications.  Is there something I have not done to get this to work?
