Hey Community! 👋
We just got back from ACE Bangalore – Team’25 Recap, and WOW, what an event it was! With over 300+ attendees, the energy was electric from start to finish. From Atlassian admins and PMs to partners and power users, the room was packed with folks geeking out over Jira, Confluence, JSM, automation, AI… and yes, the food! Even the lunch was worth talking about!
The miniOrange crew - Aditya, Saurabh C, Saurabh D, Himanshu and I had the pleasure of attending, and we’re still buzzing with excitement (and a little too much caffeine).
One of the highlights? Mahima Bothra (that’s me), delivered a session on: “Smart User Management: How to Save on Atlassian Licenses with Automation” 🧠
It was a full house, and the audience was hooked. I shared real-life admin nightmares (inactive users haunting your license counts 👻, anyone?) and how automation can turn chaos into calm.
A few key takeaways from the session:
The crowd was super engaged, with tons of questions and practical use cases flying around. It felt less like a presentation, more like a “therapy session for overworked admins” (their words, not ours 😅)
We also caught some amazing session from other community members:
Project Optimization in Jira (by Prashanth – Atlassian)
Learned about Streamlining Tools and Site Optimizer — a great way to declutter Jira instances and improve performance.
JSM 101 (by Aditya Mani – Atlassian)
A great walkthrough of setting up Jira Service Management, handling incidents, automating workflows, and using Atlassian Intelligence to make ITSM smarter.
Atlassian Guard
Explored how native security and access controls on Cloud are getting a serious upgrade.
DevOps + JSM
How Jira bridges Dev and IT teams, reduces manual work, and delivers better collaboration outcomes.
The booth was buzzing! We had some really engaging chats with folks from Blume Ventures, Cognizant, GenDigital, ANZ, OpenText, HME, OnMobile, and more.
What stood out? A shared interest in making user management less of a headache, automating the boring stuff, and locking down integrations, without slowing anyone down.
A lot of teams were looking for smarter ways to:
These conversations gave us a ton of validation (and inspiration) for what we’re building.
This wasn’t just a recap, it was a celebration of everything that’s brewing in the Atlassian ecosystem. From Pune to Mumbai to Bangalore, the Team’25 India Tour gave us a great opportunity to connect, learn, and show off what we’ve been building.
At the end, we gathered:
If you missed us at the booth or couldn’t catch my session, we’d still love to hear from you. Drop your questions, thoughts, or hot takes in the comments or connect with us directly.
Until the next ACE,
