How event are displayed in confluence calendar (assignee icons,...)

Hi,
I'm looking for details about how the event are displayed in the confluence calendar, specifically what event are displaying with the assignee icon, what event doesn't have it, and if it's configurable

Hello there!

Through some testing I could determine that the following event types have user thumbnails attached to them in Timeline view for Calendar Macro:

  • Events
  • Travel
  • Leave

The caveat here is that for the thumbnail to be displayed no more than one user can be added via the Who field while creating the event. When more than one user is added to the event, no thumbnail will be displayed. Replacing the user avatar we will have a generic icon of two people. As we see here at the NEW EVENT (deep blue bar) event:

The event types that do not show the user thumbnail are:

  • Birthdays
  • Custom events
