How to get email notifications for event creator?

For team calendar, we can get notifications as a watcher for events created however the user who creates it never gets the email. Is it possible that the person who created the event can get an email confirmation?

It seems to me that it's impossible. You will receive email only if you watch calendar. 

But why do you need email notification on create event for event creator? What problem are you trying to solve?
