How to get the value of a card using ScriptRunner?

I'm using scriptrunner examples to get the value of the card field in jira software, but I can't get anything, just says that it's not possible to get the field property or null.

I need to bring the value of the custom date fields, and calculate the number of days of a token from two dates and put in a numeric field.

How do I do this using ScriptRunner?

Thank you for your question.

So that I am able to advise further on what is causing the behaviour which you are seeing, can I please ask you to attach some screenshots showing how the script has been configured so we can see if it is a Script Listener or a Post Function?

I can confirm that we have an example Script Listener script located in the documentation page here which shows how to create a calculated field and I can confirm that this should be configured on the Issue Updated event.
