Migration

Srijan Srivastava April 19, 2022

Hi Team,

We are migrating our Jira on-prem instance to Jira Cloud. When we are migrating Scriptrunner scripts, its just get copied as is , as Java Rest API are not compatible in Cloud. Therefore, we need to convert the scripts to Jira Rest API. Can anyone tell on how to approach this

Adaptavist is targetting "feature parity" between the two classes of products.

But as you know each "feature" might be achieved in dramatically different ways.

So yes, you will need to

  1. Find all the scripts
  2. Identify the goal of each script
  3. Determine if the goal can be achieved in the cloud and or if it still provides sufficient value
  4. Implement a new script that achieves the same goal

Here is a a writeup from Adaptavist about how to perform such migration: https://docs.adaptavist.com/sr4jc/latest/scriptrunner-migration/migrate-from-scriptrunner-for-jira-server-to-cloud
