No file extension for drawio whiteboard, a bug?

I was doing some basic testing of Drawio with the preview version.

I have noticed that whiteboard file have no .drawio extension (instead of .drawio and .png pair)

I guess we can fill the extension when saving the board but it's no intuitive and most of your users will not think about this.

Is this intented or a bug?

It doesn't matter what the name is, the functionality is enforced by mime type, not suffix.
