People Picker not generating people

When creating an event in calendar the drop down to pick "who" is not populating any names. I'm an Admin on page and in Confluence. Checked settings, tried reloading page and browser, and no names work.

based on the screenshot it seems related to server/data center instance and not on a cloud one. Isn't it? On Server/Data Center could be related to missing indexes (https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/unable-to-search-add-user-in-team-calendars-for-confluence-659784620.html)

Yeah, we are no longer on prem - I'm an Admin. We moved everything to the cloud. But it seems like Confluence was being a temporary drama queen, because after 24 hours it worked itself out. Very weird. we chalked it up to ghosts in the machine :-)
