Hi,

It doesn't work either in Outlook2013 in the way described, but i found a workaround that might be applicable also in Outlook2016:

Goto File-> Account Settings -> Account Settings -> Internet Calender -> New... -> enter the subscription url.

It will show a certificate warning and after confirmation, show the calender in "other calenders".
