Hi,
I don't know if this is the correct place to post this issue from Draw.io app but for the past couple of days, I have been unable to save a diagram on Draw.io. I have restarted my laptop, cleared the cache and cookies, but the issue persists and keep getting this error: Error Saving File - Failed to execute 'createWritable' on 'FileSystemFileHandle'.
I have attached the error messages. Please let me know what else I can do to resolve this issue.
Many thanks,
Hi there, @Carlos Mourao !
It looks like you're using the standalone version of draw.io, and this site is specifically for draw.io users within the Atlassian ecosystem.
For the standalone app, a good place to check would be the draw.io GitHub discussions. Other users may have run into similar issues and you might find helpful updates or workarounds there.
Hope it gets sorted out quickly!
Best,
MJ :)
Hello @Carlos Mourao ,
Welcome to the Community !
Are you saving the file in your system? Could be antivirus as well to cause this issue

Hi @Piyush Annadate _ACE Pune_ ,
Thank you for your welcome and reply!
I have been working on this diagram for long using the website, I save the file on the system and never had this problem. It started 3 days ago from nowhere in the middle of the day.
Let me check with my IT team just in case.
Thanks

Would suggest you to raise a ticket with draw.io support.
Is that just for you or for other users as well?

Hi,
I tried saving the file with one of my colleagues, and it worked.
I used the 'Save As' option as a workaround and didn't encounter any issues. I suspect the problem might be related to the file naming convention, which seems to be limited to '99' (just a guess!).
I'll raise a ticket with draw.io support to inform them about this situation.
Thanks.
