Hello @Alex Medved _ConfiForms_ ,
i would like to know wether there is a possibility to set the ConfiForms entry-id from user input.
The scenario would be for pages in confluence that a referencing to projects that already have a project id. We would like to integrate data via our data warehouse into ConfiForms entries with database fields. It would be great when such a possibility makes in possible to make it easier for end-user to set up their documentation.
Kind Regards
Erik
Hi @Erik Riedel
Why would you want to override the internal id of the ConfiForms records!? Just have an additional field that will store your "database id" and leave management of ConfiForms IDs to ConfiForms
Alex
Hey @Alex Medved _ConfiForms_ ,
we recognized that by importing we can set the UUID with custom values. I got the feedback, that this was realy handy for filters in table and listview, because they are easier to remember.
So I am curious wether this would be possible in registration forms also.
You are right. We use custom fields for ids to synch them between systems. But end users ask the question why in the list view on pages, created with confiforms the uuid is used an not something easier to understand. So it's something about end-user experience.

Use a separate column for these "easy to remember" IDs (show to users, use in filters) and do not interfere with the ConfiForms managed internal UUIDs
That is my advice
