Hello,
I am tryng to set a field in the confiform "Field Definition" that should be visible to two groupes A and B, but only editable by the groupe B.
When I set those conditions, the field desappears for the both of the user groupes.
Does this function have certain condition?
Regards
Irene
I believe the question is about ConfiForms app and it's functionality - have labeled the question accordingly
To answer your question - no, these are "independent" settings. You can define who can view and who can edit the field. The one who can edit should also be set in the parameter of who can view. So, your setup sounds correct - could you share what exactly have you configured in the Field Definition macro for these parameters?

Thank you Alex,
It looks like i fullfield the conditions you discribed above. But the field is unvisible for the both of the groupes.

This all looks good - what is not working for you?
Please note that the user must have edit permissions to the record as well, in order to be able to edit it (that is in addition to (a prerequisite) the restriction you are setting)

Ok, even if i leave the condition "visible only to groups/users" emtpy, and set the condition "editable only by" for the group A. As result, the field is not visible for the GroupB, despite of their rights to modify the page.

Welcome to the community,
configure the field's view and edit permissions within the "Field Definition" settings. You can do this by specifying which groups have "View" and "Edit" permissions for that specific field.
Here's a breakdown of how to achieve this:
Hope this helps
