How to manage Atlas teams and departments independently of Atlassian Access?

I would like to create and manage teams and departments in Atlas without synchronizing with Atlassian Access teams and departments, how can I do that?

I'm a product manager at Atlassian.

Unfortunately, there's no way to do this yet. What's your use case for this? Happy to have a chat and hear about it.
