This AI Workshop Play = My "AHA" Moment

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed trying to get your team up to speed on AI—without sounding like a broken record or a tech evangelist—this Team Playbook Play is for you.

Here’s how the AI Training Workshop Play helped my team build real AI fluency (without the eye rolls):

In my experience, when teams resist AI, it’s not because they don’t want to use it—it’s because they don’t know how to use it meaningfully in their day-to-day work.

The problem isn’t enthusiasm. It’s capability + context.

And that’s exactly what this Play unlocks.

The AI Training Workshop Play gives you a plug-and-play format to demystify AI— it even includes an example of the workshop presentation we use at Atlassian.

It’s hands-on, team-specific, and actually fun to run.

Here’s how we kicked it off:

👉 We started by anchoring around real team goals, not abstract AI talk. The prompt we used:

“What’s one annoying, repetitive, or high-stakes task you do regularly that AI might help with?”

That opened the floodgates. Once folks started naming their actual use cases—content reviews, task triage, customer insights—the engagement skyrocketed.

Then we split into breakout groups to try prompts within Confluence AI and Rovo like:

“Act as a peer reviewer for this support article. What’s missing or unclear?”
“Summarize this noisy Jira thread into a TL;DR we could share in a stand-up.”
“Write three versions of this Slack message: polite, direct, and humorous.”

And just like that, people got it. They weren’t just “learning AI”—they were learning how AI could think with them.

By the end, the team didn’t need convincing. They were swapping prompt hacks and asking for a shared doc of go-to use cases.

If you want to build real confidence with AI, not just awareness, run this Play.

It turns curiosity into capability—and gives your team permission to play, test, and build their own AI fluency.

Drop a comment if you’ve tried it—or if you want ideas for how to tailor it to your team’s workflows.

Or tell me what other AI challenges you're having and we'll see if we have Team Playbook Plays that can help!
