Jira work log and Jira linked work item data are available in data shares

Exciting news! We’ve released Jira work log and Jira linked work item data in data shares.

You can learn more about those data points in our previous Community post when we released them for Atlassian Analytics.

How can I start using this data?

You won’t need to take any action. These new tables will automatically be added to your existing data shares.

Looking for more?

Don’t hesitate to send us feedback on which data or features you want us to add next.

For the jira_issue_link table, is there any chance that the issue_link_type value (i.e. friendly name) could be provided along with the ID? I don't believe there's a way for us to bring in the link type name without querying the API.

This is what we're currently seeing:

Link type IDs are certainly better than no links; having the actual link type name would be additionally helpful for our users.

Hi @Josh,

Thanks for reaching out. We also released the table jira_issue_link_type (read more about the "Jira issue link type" table) that I missed adding to my original post.

You can join jira_issue_link_type and jira_issue_link on issue_link_type_id. Additionally, you need to specify the link direction with jira_issue_link.link_direction and jira_issue_link_type.inward or jira_issue_link_type.outward columns.

Cheers,
Claire

Thank you for the helpful information, @Claire Gayrard .

Is the jira_issue_link_type table coming to Data Share? It doesn't appear to be available for us; only jira_issue_link is shown.

If it's something that we should submit a support ticket for, I'll be happy to put one in.

Hi @Josh , the table should be available in your new and existing data shares.

If you don't see it, please get in touch with support, and we will be able to help you.
