Hi @Aditi Venkatesh it's great to see focus on enabling more functionality between MS Teams and Jira. Are there any plans to expand this feature to allow the creation of JSM Requests from MS Teams?

While it's technically possible to create JSM tickets from the work item view (as opposed to the JSM customer portal), that approach has a variety of drawbacks:

  1. Any "hidden" values set on the JSM request type (i.e. pre-populating certain fields) are not set when a JSM request is created via the "Create" experience.
  2. The appropriate JSM form is not displayed to the user.
  3. Any field name aliases that are set in the request type do not display in the work item view (instead the "true" field name is shown).
    1. We utilize this quite a bit to prevent having to create a ton of custom fields for similar purposes.
