Hey folks! I recently hosted the Unleash your team with Rovo webinar.
Missed it? You can catch the replay here: Watch on-demand ▶️
It was awesome to see so many folks excited to learn about Rovo. We covered a lot of topics during Q&A, so I wanted to follow up with answers to your most common questions. 👇
Atlassian Intelligence is built into Atlassian's Premium and Enterprise products like Jira and Confluence. It adds AI features such as natural language search and content summarization to these products.
Rovo is a separate product that uses Atlassian Intelligence. It tackles broader organizational data and workflow challenges. Rovo offers features like Rovo Agents, unified search across third-party apps, and smart answers.
In short, Atlassian Intelligence enhances Atlassian products, while Rovo works across multiple platforms beyond Atlassian's ecosystem.
Rovo is built into your existing Atlassian suite via Teamwork Graph. This means it can have access to rich business context across Jira, Confluence, Loom, and other 3rd party connectors.
Teamwork Graph is Atlassian Cloud Platform's data intelligence layer that connects data across all your apps, including Atlassian, Marketplace, and other preferred apps. It links the who, what, where, when, why, and how of work.
Unlike other data solutions that just gather data, Teamwork Graph understands your business, teams, and goals. It helps Rovo provide enriched responses with detailed organizational context, such as project statuses, task priorities, and goal progress, giving users a complete view of their queries.
Rovo will roll out to Atlassian customers in phases over the next few months. While the actual list of which organizations and sites are always fluctuating, what I can say is we look at complexity as our main North Star for the rollout. Since our announcement, we've started rolling out Rovo to organizations with the least amount of sites, and are quickly approaching more and more complex organizations with varying degrees of… complexity. We'll continue to roll out until Rovo is for Everyone!

You're in luck! We have another upcoming webinar on May 27th/28th. Grab a spot: Getting started with Atlassian Rovo 📅
Rovo is included in your paid subscriptions of Jira, JSM, and Confluence. To ensure optimal performance and fair usage across all users, Rovo has two quotas that we use for "usage limits". You can find more information here: Rovo Usage Limits
You can also try out some OOTB agents to get started:
I recommend starting by being specific about each agent's purpose. If that agent's tasks are creeping beyond the scope of that purpose, it's time for an additional agent.
This gets more advanced, but yes - agents can be configured to take actions automatically. For example, an agent can write release notes automatically when a sprint is set to a certain status. ⚡️
The list of connectors and integrations for Rovo is always growing! Even after the webinar, we released even more. For the most up-to-date list, head over here (Available Rovo Connectors) to get the latest list!
It depends on the connector. Some connectors only allow 'search', while others will allow Rovo to access and give context. Learn more here: Manage Rovo connectors.
Yes. In your Admin Hub/Atlassian Guard, you can set controls for which connectors are allowed.
We have very strict data privacy and compliance requirements, that are always evolving with the world of Data, Privacy, Compliance and AI. So that I don't give you outdated information, because things on the internet can stay forever, I'd say head on over to our trust site for more up to date information: Atlassian Intelligence and Rovo | Trust Site 🔒
Rovo permissions mirror the current user's permissions.
Yes. Rovo access is based on your Atlassian organization. So Rovo will have access to any sites under the same organization.
Yes! Here are a few I recommend:
More connectors, more actions and automations, and more granular controls! We'll keep everyone up to date on our public roadmap! 📅
