Hi Admins and Atlassian champions,
My name is Jan Ambroziewicz, principal product manager for Enterprise. I’m excited to announce that starting April 7th, Portfolio Insights, a feature set within Atlassian Administration that enhances how you as admins view and manage your Atlassian portfolio, will transition from a limited early access program to an open beta over the following two weeks. All customers with an Atlassian Cloud site will be automatically enrolled in the open beta—no signup required.
Portfolio Insights is an experience within Atlassian Administration that gives you:
Let’s take a closer look at the features of Portfolio Insights and how they can benefit you.
Portfolio Insights offers automated product detection for a complete, centralized view of your entire Atlassian portfolio. This feature works by maintaining connections between your Data Center and Cloud products, ensuring seamless integrations. It automatically detects associated products through license data and app links, making it easy to add them to your portfolio for a complete and accurate view.
Value: This gives you greater control and decision-making power, saving time by eliminating manual tracking of products across deployments and ensuring all instances are linked in a single dashboard for streamlined management.
With Portfolio Insights, you gain access to our cloud readiness feature, offering a clear view of migration prerequisites.
Value: Our data assessment capabilities allow you to evaluate the readiness of your Jira and Confluence Data Center instances for Cloud, highlighting areas for improvement before migration. You’ll receive actionable recommendations and resources to address these areas, ensuring a smoother, more efficient migration process, minimizing potential roadblocks ahead of time.
Portfolio Insights delivers proactive optimization recommendations to keep your Jira Data Center instances healthy and high-performing as they grow and evolve.
Value: These recommendations provide insights into your instances' health and offer actionable steps to prevent issues before they arise. For example, if you're exceeding guardrails for the number of user groups, Portfolio Insights will flag this, giving you details and resources to help you resolve the issue. Exceeding these guardrails can impact stability, slow down operations, and complicate permission management.
Starting on April 7, 2025, Portfolio Insights Beta will be automatically enabled within Atlassian Administration – no sign up required!
You must have at least one Atlassian Cloud product and org admin permissions.

As we enhance Portfolio Insights, our goal is to equip you with the tools to make informed decisions and maintain healthy Atlassian environments that power your system of work. Whether you're managing Cloud, Data Center, or a combination of both, Portfolio Insights aims to give you the clarity and confidence to navigate transitions and keep your systems running efficiently.
