Hi! We have a team that wants to move their space from a Confluence Server to my Confluence Cloud instance. What is the easiest way to do this? We have two different admins. I looked at the Confluence Cloud Migration Assistant and it looks like that needs to go on the server but if they aren't admins for the cloud, will it even work? Do you have any best practices for such a case to make this easier?
Thanks!
Hi,
The server admin will be the one who runs CCMA on the server instance. However, when it comes time to connect to the cloud instance during app assessment or plan a migration, you can have the cloud admin log in using the same browser (as it, take over the keyboard and log in) and then the cloud side will be using the cloud admin account. The link between server and cloud will always then be active.
So, when it comes to linking, on this screen you can choose a any cloud admin account. It doesn't have to be your account.

You would need to be an admin of both instances for this to work - is there a reason the Server admins are not admins of the Cloud environment?

yes, two different departments and tool owners. It's even more complicated than that but doesn't really solve the issue. Thank you!!
