We are currently considering making MFA mandatory for accessing our Atlassian environment applications, but we're wondering how this might impact third-party app integrations, as well as bots and automations we've set up.
Is there any documentation outlining the key points to consider in order to avoid breaking anything when enabling MFA? If there's no documentation, could someone share the checks we should carry out beforehand?
Thanks in advance!
Hi @Celia Gallego ,
Thanks for getting back.
For the Atlassian Cloud Services is recommended to use Atlassian Guard (which is a different product), that will help you in your journey to set up MFA, SSO and other security measures.
If you want only to enforce a basic MFA for your Cloud Services please check this guide: https://support.atlassian.com/security-and-access-policies/docs/enforce-two-step-verification/
This link contains a guide for the individual users: https://support.atlassian.com/atlassian-account/docs/manage-two-step-verification-for-your-atlassian-account/
I am attaching a link to Atlassian Guard as well: https://www.atlassian.com/software/guard
I hope this information gets you closer to what you are searching for!
