We’re excited to announce the launch of Team hierarchy for Atlassian Teams. We’re inviting you to join our Early Access Program (EAP) where you'll be among the first to use and provide feedback on it.

What is Team Hierarchy?

With Team Hierarchy, you can now mirror your organization’s real-world structure directly in Atlassian. This means you can create parent-child relationships between teams - think departments, sub-groups, squads, and more. Teams can be linked and visualized in a hierarchy, making it easier to navigate, report, and manage at scale.

Why are we building this?

As organizations grow, so does complexity. Many of you have told us that flat team structures make it hard to:

• Mirror real-world org structures (departments, sub-groups, squads, etc.)

• Roll up reporting and insights across teams

About the Early Access Program

We're looking for a select group of organizations who are enthusiastic about shaping our product's direction. You are:

• Using at least 1 Enterprise edition of Jira Cloud or Confluence Cloud

• Not planning a Cloud to Cloud migration in the next 6 months

• Not planning a organization consolidation or merge in the next 6 months

• Enthusiastic about shaping Atlassian Team’s direction by regularly participating in the Community Group and providing feedback

Is the restiction to Enterprise subscriptions only for the EAP or will that also apply once the feature is GA?
