Bamboo Branch build - merging changes push to git

I have just started using the Branch feature of Bamboo, and I have enabled to bit that allows Bamboo to merge the changes from "master" before building. That part works great. However it commits the change as "Atlassian Bamboo <bamboo@example.com>" and then tries to push the change as builduser (my bamboo runs as this user.)

I have Stash set up to disallow push with commits that were not authored by the one pushing. (using the "Enforce Push Author" hook.)

How do I change the user that Bamboo uses to commit the merge?

Set commit user under Administration => Respository Settings => Automatic Commits
