Bamboo audit log - SYSTEM user changes

We see changes to plans made by system user. What does this actually mean?

These are changes done by background processing operating with system privileges.

I see this SYSTEM account has deleted a build plan.... Why would the system delete a build plan? How do I track this down?

Thank you for responding. I figure I'll open a support request. The audit log pretty clearly shows Deleted, by System, and it is NOT a Branch plan but rather the actual plan.
